AUSTIN -- Austin police have identified the man killed Sunday March 17 on FM 2222.
Garrett Steven Parvin, 31, was killed while driving a motorcycle. Police say a silver Pontiac Sunfire was heading east on 2222 when the driver lost control of the car. The vehicle veered into westbound traffic and was hit by Parvin. The Sunfire then slid into westbound traffic where it was hit by a second motorcyclist. One of the motorcyclists caught fire during the impact.
Police say Parvin died at the hospital just after 5 p.m. A passenger with him had serious injuries but is expected to survive.
The driver of the Sunfire and the other motorcyclist had non-life threatening injuries.
