AUSTIN -- A man is in serious condition Monday morning after being stabbed.
Austin police say they received a welfare check call from the 8500 block of North Lamar Boulevard just before 5 a.m. Tuesday. The caller told police that a Hispanic male was bleeding in the parking lot of a car wash.
Police arrived and found the victim had been stabbed. He was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge where he is currently in critical condition.
Robbery detectives were able to get video of a person they say was in the area around the time of the stabbing.
