FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas -- A routine traffic stop in Fayette County led to the arrest of a would-be drug trafficker and the seizure of 455 pounds of marijuana.

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reported Friday that Deputy Randy Thumann and his K9 partner Lobos pulled over a pickup truck pulling a stock trailer on Interstate 10 near Flatonia for a traffic violation.

The man driving the truck said he was hauling goats from Laredo to Houston to sell. The deputy became suspicious and got consent to search the trailer. He found a "false floor" under it, where he found 91 bundles of marijuana, weighing about 455 pounds.

Eric Michael Luedke, 25, was arrested and charged with Felony Possession of Marijuana 50-2,000 pounds. The truck, trailer and goats were seized.
