Man arrested in Llano County bank robbery investigation

LLANO COUNTY, Texas -- Llano County Sheriff's investigators have arrested a man for a Kingsland bank robbery.

Thanks to help from a Hill Country Crime Stopper's tip and other information from the public, a warrant was issued for Benton Paul Buratti, 29, for the Jan. 4 robbery of the American Bank at 211 RR 2900 in Kingsland. Buratti was last known to live in the Marble Falls area.

Federal and local law enforcement officials arrested Buratti at a hotel in Arlington, Texas on Jan. 18. He is now in the Tarrant County Jail waiting for transport.

Investigators believe Buratti did not act alone. They are seeking the public’s help in finding Buratti and obtaining any additional information about the robbery and other people that may have been involved. A possible person of interest is a white female.
