AUSTIN -- The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles is denying Laura Hall's latest request for parole.
She's serving a 10-year sentence for evidence tampering and hindering apprehension for her role in the 2005 murder of Jennifer Cave in West Campus.
Hall was convicted of helping dismember Cave's body and helping Colton Pitonyak flee to Mexico.
Pitonyak is serving a 55 year sentence for the killing.
The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals is considering Pitonyak's attorney's request for a new trial based on jail records the defense team never knew about.
