AUSTIN -- A University of Texas soccer player critically injured by an alleged hit-and-run driver will continue her rehab in California.
According to her family's blog, Kylie Doniak flew out of Austin Friday morning.
The accident left her with a brain injury, punctured lung, and broken bones.
It happened early on Feb. 3 at the intersection of San Jacinto and 8th Street in downtown Austin.
Police say 22-year-old Nicholas Colunga struck Doniak and another woman after running a red light. He's charged with failure to stop and render aid and intoxication assault.
