AUSTIN -- The cold weather isn't slowing down construction at the ninth annual Homes for the Holidays Blitz Build in East Austin.
KVUE is a proud partner. This year KVUE is teaming up with Austin Habitat for Humanity, HomeAway and the Austin Board of Realtors to build two homes for two families.

The challenge began last week. Already, volunteers have completed the framing and installed siding. Roofing is underway.
“I look forward to always coming out here. This is my Christmas, and I'm just overjoyed with happiness,” said volunteer Bill Aguayo.
The women who will move into the homes are putting in hours of their own hard work. They spent 150 hours helping build homes for other people, and they will spend another 150 hours building their own home.
The construction will continue over the next two weeks. The women will get the keys to their new homes on Friday Dec. 20.
