there is a third canidate running and in the debate. She is Debra Medina and I think alot of people will be impressed with her. Go to her web page to find out more.

Why does the Media continually ignore Debra Medina?! She WILL BE IN THE DEBATE! (And in my opinion is the Best Person for the job!) NO MORE LIFE LONG POLITICIANS!

rhondao said on January 13, 2010 at 1:42 PM

I don't see a reason to pit Rick Perry and Kay Bailey Hutchison against each other for a debate - we already know what they stand for and what they are going to say. Usually they both say a lot of things and never really do them. I say that unless you add Debra Medina to the mix, then you won't get any kind of true picture of what Texas should be about, or a fair representation of what the people really want. Rick and Kay have been in their ivory towers for so long they probably don't even know what it is like to have to pump their own gas. I assure you Debra Medina does, and then some.

You should include Medina in the debate. The public needs all voices heard in these perilous times. Corporate censorship can lead into a boycott of your biggest paying advertisers as well as your station.

What's really sad is no one except for us Medina supporters seems to care. You would hope that many different people and organizations would be outraged at how the system operates. How can the people's voice ever be heard if the system keeps shutting us out? Frustrating as hell!

I'm relatively new to Texas (5 years) and never heard of Debra Medina until tonight. She definitely won my vote tonight.

It is not only rude, it is haughty and unAmerican for the media to assume that these criminals are the only choices we have to choose from. You are giving us a choice between two criminals racketeers. Debra Medina is a choice that has integrity. NO to the back room deal makers who are part of an organized crime ring. Be aware that Kay Bailey is probably the pick for Gov this year, so she will be stroking the people with the right words, pretending to be concerned with the toll roads, or the carbon tax, or other things that her CFR group are for. She is loyal to the CFR as she has a rather high position in that organization. Perry is being considered to run for president. Get the picture? So KVUE, if you are American, you will not censor Debra Medina from the media exposure. The media is nothing more than a propaganda machine promoting criminal activity by spewing lies and censorship. Truth is rising, you can no longer oppress it. LOOK AT THE POSTS for Debra Medina.

Having been a fan of KVUE for a long time, I am shocked at the unbelievably sparse coverage that they provided of the GOP debates tonight. There was certainly a lot or Perry and Hutchison, but why not anything about Medina? She clearly out debated both of them, and gave factual answers where they only gave political rhetoric. When pressed for an answer regarding her support of Roe v. Wade Hutchison floundered and failed to answer. Perry was left looking like a deer in the headlights from his many attempts to defend his claimed political actions, versus actual records of historical events. I no longer choose to get my news from KVUE or any nationally affiliated broadcasting station (because I looked at the reports from KXAN, KEYE and KTBC too). After years of hoping for different, there is clearly an agenda which has permeated down to the local level. Please be careful of what you accept as truth. National media clearly has an agenda.

Consider asking both participants the following? • Based on your "roots" how will you be true to the republican "roots"? • How will the demo publican party matter who wins the election? • Have the elected political officials become the ruling class? Cheers and Thank You.

I trust this next debate to only include Perry and Hutchinson was scheduled prior to tonight's debate where a candidate whom I've never heard of (Debra Medina) put old school politicans to the back of their class and took the lead. She clearly showed that she knew more of the Texas economical landscape than both. I dubbed her Ms. No-Nonsense because she spoke straightforward on her position. She didn't have to re-arrange the answers to questions (Roe v. Wade) or continue to harp on Texas being the third best state for small businesses (and the other two soundbytes offered throughout the evening) for the audience to get there's a new, savvy candidate in the race. I hope KVUE was watching so I can see Medina debate on January 29 or else choose a new station to watch.

It is clear that Texans want their voice heard. We are saying----LET US HEAR MORE FROM MEDINA. In my opinion, she did a fantastic job last night. Perry was a pure disappointment. I had stopped supporting him last year and do not like Hutchison at all. Medina is a stong person and we the people want her in the upcoming debate. If Perry & Hutchison have nothing to fear, they should join us in wanting her included in the debate. The GOP needs to run the best candidate for the race. In the shape our country is heading, we need a real person who will fight to ensure our rights as Texans and American. STAND UP TEXAS.

Freedom of Speech is a great thing. As a private corporation, Belo has the right not to allow Debra Medina in their debate. GREAT! I also have the right not to watch this debate. I already know what KBH and Perry are going to say. The only reason to watch would be to see how Ms. Medina handles herself. So, I won't be watching this debate. What's the point?

shadowbytes said on January 16, 2010 at 11:28 AM

If Medina isn't allowed to debate on Jan. 29th, in Dallas, it will be a disservice to the voting public. Her views are independent and different from those of the other two candidates.....and I must say more in tune with how most Americans feel today. We are tired of the same old politics as usual that have put us where we are today. If Medina isn't included in the debate, I won't watch. I've heard what the other two will say already. We need a candidate that respects and knows the Constitution. Medina!

harryb45 said on January 16, 2010 at 3:47 PM

Why is the media ignoring Medina? Are you hoping she will go away if you ignore her? This is another person who won't bother to watch a debate unless she is present. The Austin American Statesman Politifacts indicated that she spoke truthfully.

It is obvious that that the progressive powers to be are going to try to force another John McCain type election down our throats. KVUE, I'm ashamed of you for allowing this farce to perpetuate. Those of us who understand the relationship between the media and government know what's happening here and are fed up. You watch, when the media see's we the people finally put their foot down, they will act like they were always on our side.

ednorandyrowe said on January 17, 2010 at 9:56 PM

*Great debate. *Even Texas Monthly online poll has Medina winning other two 80-10-10 percent. *KVUE will lose viewers, both in 29th debate and afterward for their action. *KVUE- BELO will not care. *As Michael Medved pointed out, Hollywood will produce edgy movies KNOWING they will lose money. *Anti-Americanism, political correctness, and eliteism beat even desire for profit in a debauched nation and debauched media. *We should continue to support Mark Murray by calling 451-2424, for his great weather forcasts which tell what is coming 5 days out, & give allergy info: *Because Mark actually knows his job is WEATHER, appears to be untainted; and listening to weather line does not help advertisers of KVUE, like watching their slanted news, or un-inclusive debate would.

Now let me tell you what I REALLY think. lol. I am putting a Debra Medina for TX Governor sticker over the Perry sticker on my ride, Sorry Rick. And I think a higher power helped pick the questions on that debate; and the two losers knew they were overwhelmed. What a WONDERFUL surprise this debate was. Go David, er Debra, you CAN beat Goliath.

ednorandyrowe said on January 17, 2010 at 10:15 PM

Now let me tell you how I REALLY feel! I am almost ready to put Debra Medina sticker over my Perry 2010 sticker on my ride. If she is artificially barred from future debates, my vote for her is sure. To those of you who feel my vote is wasted, in the face of the huge institutional / elitist bias she is fighting, let me give you this quote from President John Quincy Adams: "Always vote for principle though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost." The questions, format, and performance of the established candidates all showed, I believe, that providence was on the side of Debra Medina. I was waiting for her to be humiliated; her quiet confidence and integrity put the others to shame and I know they looked-and felt-overwhelmed. Our votes will NOT be lost!

brucek said on January 18, 2010 at 10:17 AM

everyone should flood the phone lines and the servers that handle email at belo corp. for not allowing debra medina to participate the the jan. 29 debate...based on the response to your poll concerning who won or lost the first debate i would say she should be included.....90% felt she won the debate....shame on you belo corp....you act like you own the news....

takebackamerica said on January 18, 2010 at 1:48 PM

I am so sick of the media vetting political candidates. Kvue-your job is to put information out there and let your viewers decide who is qualified and deserves their vote. LET MEDINA DEBATE !

freedomlost said on January 18, 2010 at 4:19 PM

KUVE is doing the people of Texas an injustice by NOT allowing all 3 candidates the opportunity to debate. The media continues to play a heavy handed role in the choice of our political candidates. What’s disheartening is that the people of Texas are allowing this to happen. There is no freedom in this. KUVE shame on you.

freedomlost said on January 19, 2010 at 6:55 PM

KVUE, Thank you for including Medina in the debate originally slated for only Perry and Hutchinson. It is refreshing to see the TV station responding positively to the requests of the American people. Keeping equality and freedom in the forethought of your programming and reporting will gain KVUE a more trustworthy reputation and most likely an increase in ratings. As for the debate on the 29th, good on ya!.

I'm tired of these people who want to keep staying in state office year after year. Every election year we have to hear about how great they are when we really know they are not! We all know they are just in office for special interest reasons. So lets get rid of the good old boy politics that we are all so tired of seeing and bring in a new fresh person. Debra Medina is smart, honest and has her act together. She will make the right decisions for our children and the future of our state. Look lets be honest, Perry really screwed things up, not to say that our Governors Manson burned on his watch and lets not forget about the State Education Commissioner he hired and then had to fire. The Eagle has landed, good luck Debra and Kay.
