AUSTIN -- Outside the state capitol hundreds protest genetically modified foods as part of the march against Monsanto.
It's just one of 250 demonstations taking place around the world.
Organizers want to call attention to the dangers of g-m-os and the companies that produce it, like seed giant monsanto. They say Austin does a great job supporting organic farmers.
"A place like Austin you have so many community gardens, community supported agriculture; it's good to see people are going and taking responsibility for the provision of natural food for their family and their community"
Monsanto released a statement -- saying that it respects people's rights to express their opinion... But believes its seeds help farmers produce more food... While conserving water and energy.
