CALDWELL COUNTY, Texas -- A spokesperson with the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office says Hays County deputies arrested 17-year-old Erasto Escutia Saturday night. He's charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, deadly conduct and aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Escutia is from Kyle, but he's being held in Caldwell County where the alleged incidents happened.
The first incident happened on Aug. 6 when the sheriff's office responded to a disturbance call after Escutia reportedly fired a gun. On Aug. 9, deputies say he threatened several people with a weapon. On Aug. 15, a parent called to report the sexual assault.
The Caldwell County assistant district attorney tells KVUE she is still waiting on the paperwork but does know the sexual assault victim is a 13-year-old girlfriend who lived with Escutia.
