AUSTIN -- Governor Rick Perry's chief of staff is joining the Texas Supreme Court.
The governor appointed Jeffrey Boyd to the state's highest Civil Court. He will start on Dec. 3 and finish a term that expires at the end of 2014.
Boyd replaces Dale Wainwright, who resigned Sept. 30 to join an Austin law firm.
