WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas -- A Williamson County criminal court has sentenced a Georgetown man to 20 years in state prison for possession of child pornography.

Robert Beecher Cameron, 58, was arrested in June 2012 and pleaded guilty to two charges of child porn possession.

The investigation into Cameron began after a Pennsylvania resident was arrested on child porn and sexual assault charges. Investigators found that man had shared information and explicit photos via the Internet with other people, including someone who appeared to be in Texas, later identified as Cameron.

Texas Attorney General Cyber Crimes Unit officers conducted a search of Cameron’s residence in Georgetown and confiscated his computer and media storage devices, where they discovered the graphic online chats as well as Cameron’s extensive collection of child pornography.

Cameron was arrested and taken to the Williamson County Jail.
