Former custodians sentenced for stealing from Leander ISD

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas -- Nearly $140,000 was stolen from the Leander Independent School District and has been recovered by prosecutors in Williamson County.

The recovery came after three former school employees plead guilty to theft charges.

Michael Daniel Madrigal will serve 10 years in prison. Rafael Munoz will serve five years. Zolia Munoz will serve one year.

A fourth employee, Marco Peraza, has not agreed to a plea deal. All four are former custodians in the Leander Independent School District.
