AUSTIN -- Fire crews are investigating what caused an apartment fire in Northwest Austin.

Heavy flames broke out in an apartment building off North Hills Drive near Wood Hollow Drive and Far West Boulevard Tuesday afternoon. Eight apartment units were damaged by the fire.

Twenty people were displaced. The Red Cross and the apartment complex's management team are assisting them at this time.
