Family, friends mourn loss of Houston police officer
Officials have identified the Bellaire police officer and the innocent bystander that were shot and killed following a chase Monday morning in southwest Houston. Bellaire police officer Cpl. Jimmie Norman, 53, died from gunshot wounds this morning at Ben Taub Hospital. Police identified Terry Taylor as the innocent bystander who died at the scene after being hit by stray bullets from the shooting. Taylor is the owner of the Maaco shop where the shooting took place.
