AUSTIN -- Events taking place in Austin this weekend are expected to back up traffic in several areas of the city.
- City officials say the NAMI Walk being held Saturday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. will cause Riverside Drive to be closed from Auditorium Shores to South 1st Street. - Traffic around the Domain shopping center will be backed up Sunday due to the IBM Uptown Classic. Roads will be affected between 7:55 a.m. to 11 a.m. Burnet Road from Kramer Lane to Duval Road, as well as Gault Lane from Burnet Road to Private Drive, will be closed during the event. - The Bevo Boulevard Celebration will close some streets downtown before the University of Texas home football game Saturday. Starting at noon, 18th Street between San Jacinto Boulevard and Brazos Street will be closed until two hours after kickoff. Drivers heading north are encouraged to take MLK, Jr. Boulevard instead.
