Mulch fire contained at lumber facility in Paige, TX

PAIGE, Texas -- UPDATE 11:15 p.m. The Bastrop County Office of Emergency Management confirmed Saturday that a "large mulch fire" in Paige, TX has been contained.

Lee County, Bastrop County and Paige Volunteer Fire Departments were on the scene late Saturday night. People are asked to stay clear of the area.

Crews first responded to the fire around 9:00 p.m.

The Paige Volunteer Fire Department confirmed the fire began at a lumber processing facility owned by Go Green International Inc.

The facility is located off of Highway 290 East. The cause of the fire is unknown.

According to the company's Facebook page, Go Green International was established in 2011 to "harvest dead and fatally damaged trees" from area residents.

The cause is still unknown. Fire officials say there were no injuries, but an 18 wheeler on the property was destroyed.
