Education leaders from across the country are in Austin Wednesday to find solutions for low-performing schools. They are attending a special forum on the topic, along with the U.S. Department of Education.
A few months ago, the Obama administration awarded Texas and other states $3.5 billion in grants to help turn around their lowest performing schools.
Eight schools in AISD are considered low-performing by the Texas Education Agency.
