AUSTIN -- A Capital Metro bus hit a pedestrian near the University of Texas campus on Wednesday.
CapMetro says it happened just before 1 p.m. at the intersection of Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and Red River Street.
A CapMetro bus was making a left turn on MLK at a green arrow while a man in his 40s was in the cross walk.
The pedestrian was hit by the mirror of the bus. The man was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
The driver will not face any disciplinary action, because police say the driver had the green light.
Cap Metro is looking into the incident to see if there is anything that could have been prevented, which is standard protocol.
