AUSTIN -- The City of Austin announced a temporary burn ban for all parks and greenbelts Wednesday.

That includes wood and charcoal barbecue grills, and any open fires. Grills and propane stoves are allowed, but only in designated picnic areas.

Violators can be fined up to 500 dollars.
