AUSTIN -- Austin City Council unanimously approved nearly $1.7 million in incentives for National Instruments to add a thousand jobs over the next 10 years.
The company wants to expand its existing building off MoPac.
National Instruments already employs 2400 people here in Austin. The state has already offered $4.4 million in tax incentives, and Travis County commissioners are considering a $1.3 million package.
They are expected to vote next week.
