A chemical spill triggered an evacuation in Northwest Austin. It happened around 11:30 Thursday at Worldwide Clinical Trials. That is a medical drug development company on Cross Park Drive near Cameron.

Hazmat crews were told two gallons of a chemical called ethyl acetate spilled during delivery. Because it is highly flammable, the building was evacuated.

Hazmat crews successfully removed the chemical and no one was injured.
