Car crash kills Fort Hood soldier, injures 3

A single car crash in Williamson County killed a soldier stationed at Fort Hood and injured three others.

A dispatch officer with the Department of Public Safety said Joshua Wynn died after after the Nissan, traveling about 60 mph, slammed into a tree. The 21-year-old was not wearing a seat belt.

The crash happened around 3 a.m. Saturday near the community of Andice, off County Road 970 and FM 252.

Kendre Hall was also a Fort Hood solider in the car. The 24-year-old has a broken neck.

Ashley Shelton and Ida Fruster were injured in the accident. Shelton has head injuries. Fruster's injuries have been treated, and she has been released.
