LAGO VISTA -- Travis County Fire Marshall said the Tuesday brush fire near the Lago Vista area is being considered suspicious.
Fire crews from North Travis County were called to Archers Cove near the Lago Vista airport just after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Chief Raymond Tennison of the North Lake Travis Fire Department told KVUE News that the fire burned about five to six acres of brush. He said fire crews were having a difficult time getting to the flames because of the rough terrain in the area.
STARFlight was called to the scene to help the fire crews. Fire crews from Leander and Cedar Park as well as Texas Fish & Wildfire also assisted.
As of 5:15 p.m., the fire was contained and crew were putting out hotspots.
A crew will be left at the scene in case the fire flares up. Crews will return to the scene Wednesday to check the area.
Also Wednesday, the fire marshal will survey the area to determine the cause of the fire.
There were no injuries and no structures were threatened. There were no evacuations.
