DOWNTOWN AUSTIN -- The LGBT Community in Austin is rallying to protest a bar accused of kicking out gay patrons.
Ralliers held a "kiss-in" outside the Red Room on 4th Street last night. Last week, the Red Room kicked out several patrons during its grand opening.
The owners say there was a new dress code enforced that night. However, many believe it was enforced unfairly, targeting gay patrons from entering the bar.
The owners of the Red Room told KVUE that a private party renting the bar for the night kicked people out, which owners say is within their legal right.
