AUSTIN -- An Austin psychiatrist is arrested and charged with sexual assault of a patient.
Dr. David Cardwell, 64, has bonded out of jail. He's accused of drugging a patient and then assaulting her, saying her "brain needed to be relaxed."
The incident allegedly occured on January 21st at the doctor's office on West 34th Street.
Cardwell was arrested after admitting to the act in a phone conversation with the victim.
