AUSTIN -- Local attorney Ross Ehlinger died Sunday competing in the Escape from Alcatraz triathlon in San Francisco.
The race director says the 46-year-old apparently had a heart attack during the swimming portion of the event.
Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
Ehlinger is survived by his wife and three children.
