AUSTIN -- If you're one of those people who waits until the last minute to file your taxes, you'll have to do it Online this year.
The IRS deadline to get your return in is Monday at midnight. However, the Austin postmaster announced Thursday that no local offices will be open that late this year. The postmaster said it's too expensive and there's not enough demand.
In the past, people who file paper returns have been able to turn them in up until the deadline at at least one Austin location.
This time you'll have to get them to the collection box at the main office on Cross Park Drive by 8 p.m.
