Tens of thousands of party-goers have converged on Lake Travis for Aquapalooza.  It's an on-the-water party complete with live concerts that you can enjoy as long as you can boat to the cove where it's all happening.  Weather was an issue earlier today, but it cleared up nicely tonight, allowing Aquapalooza lovers to take it all in.

At times Friday, the boats lined up side-by-side on Lake Travis looking like MoPac during rush hour, only in this instance the occupants got a chance to get out and play.

Some who came to party, did so on what else, a party boat.

The blue catfish weren't the only ones who came hungry to the Pier at Lake Travis restaurant.  It's one of the many area businesses that caters to customers on the lake which is thrilled with the uptick in business brought on by Aquapalooza being a boats only event.

"The increase is tremendous and it's going to make such an increase on our bottom line for the rest of the season," said Todd Hynes, the co-owner of the Pier at Lake Travis.

Local marinas, like Briarcliff,  are also doing well, thanks to a sizable number of out-of-towners.

"We've had some folks from New York, we've had some Canadians, we have a few Canadians down here," said Thomas Maione, with Briarcliff Marina.

Sarah Krifka isn't from Canada, just close to Acadiana Parish, in Louisiana.

"We saw it on TV last year and we've been keeping up with it ever since trying to find out where it was going to be, and had to make it happen," she said.

"I've lived here for two years and never heard of the event so as soon as I heard about and they were coming up I decided to come, I'm excited," said Brittany Cannon, a UT student from Houston.

So is Lago Vista resident Kevin Fell.

"It was pretty exciting to see that Aquapalooza was happening to close to Lago Vista, it's going to be kind of exciting to show them our little town and all cool stuff that's going on here," he said.

One item to note:  there is a no motor zone just in front of the main stage, so people can float or swim their way in for a closer view.  The fella they'll want to get a good look at , country star Brad Paisley, will perform Saturday night.
