NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas -- An Amber Alert has been canceled for a five-year-old boy from North Texas.
The alert was issued Friday morning after boy, Jagger Curry, was taken from the home he lives in with his grandmother by his mom, 30-year-old Jennifer Lynne Echeverria.
North Richland Hills police say Echeverria threatened the boy’s grandmother with a weapon and “demanded that she be allowed to take Jagger.”
Law enforcement officials believed the child was in grave or immediate danger.
The Amber Alert was canceled around 11:45 a.m. Friday after Curry was found safe. Echeverria is in police custody.
