Amber Alert canceled for two teenage girls

UPDATE: An Amber Alert issued around 1 p.m. Thursday for two teenage girls has been canceled.

Police said the girls were found safe in Galveston. Also with these were two men, one of whom was the girls' uncle Keith Mize.


LLANO COUNTY, Texas --  They were last seen Wednesday around 1 a.m. in Kingsland.

Police said 15-year-old Misty Sloan and her sister 13-year-old Savannah Sloan were taken by their uncle Keith Mize.

Mize, 33, is described as 5'11 and around 180 pounds. He has hazel eyes and blonde hair.

Police believe Mize and the girls are traveling in a black 2001 Ford Explorer with Texas license plate number BT2-2261.

Misty Sloan is 4'10" and weighs 95 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair.

The sisters are believed to be in danger.
