AUSTIN -- Austin police are asking for the public's help in locating a man wanted accused of an aggravated robbery.

Police say the suspect walked out of the Planet K at 11657 Research Blvd. after he was denied purchasing cigarettes using a credit card without identification.

The clerk followed the suspect who then pulled a black, semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at the clerk. The suspect then entered the rear passenger seat of a vehicle and pointed the gun out the window at the clerk as they drove away.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30s with short hair. He's said to be 5'7" in height with an average build. He was last seen wearing a gray, short-sleeved shirt and tan cargo shorts.

The suspect vehicle is described as a clean, dark green, four-door, early 2000s model Chevy Malibu.

Anyone with information about this suspect and his location is asked to call the APD robbery tip line at (512) 974-5092 or Crime Stoppers at (512) 472-TIPS.
