The need to help families of U.S. troops during the holiday season brought hundreds to Camp Mabry. It's all part of the second Green Santa program, allowing anyone to donate toys and food to military families.
Sunday's celebration allowed people to show their appreciation to the military with food, entertainment and more.
Organizers said Sunday's event is especially important for our reserves coming home.
"I was surprised to find out that we have a Brown Santa and Blue Santa, but where was something for our military," said Tracy Laporte from Military Moms of Texas. "I was quite surprised by that, so I was like, well, I've started many other things. I'll start something else."
