LAGUNA NIGUEL, California – Racquel Cloutier stashed her $23,000 wedding ring inside a watch box while she was in the hospital giving birth to her fourth son.

While she was in the hospital, her husband Eric held a garage sale.

After giving birth, she learned that her husband sold the box at the garage sale for $10.

The couple is hoping the woman who bought the box will see their story on the news and return the prized possession.

On Friday, ABC news reported that the woman had gotten her ring back.

The people who purchased the seemingly empty watch box that contained the diamond ring Eric Cloutier gave to his wife, Racquel, was returned Thursday to its rightful owner.

"You just can't ask for a better ending to a story," Racquel Cloutier, 31, told "Good Morning America." "I don't think I'll be taking it off anytime soon."
