SAN ANTONIO -- Most stories that start with "You'll never guess what I found in the toilet" aren't worth repeating.
But one this weird just had to be shared.
Wendi Green said her husband Luke woke up around 2 a.m. on Thursday to prepare a bottle for their one-year-old boy. Along the way, he stopped to use the restroom.
To his surprise, he looked down and found a tiny opossum sitting quietly in the toilet bowl. Naturally, he hollered for Wendi to come take a look.
"It was just sitting there, scared and kind of shaky," Wendi said. "It didn't even fight my husband when he picked it up out of there."
Wendi said Luke placed the possum in a yellow bucket and left it outside their north-side apartment. By Thursday morning, the critter was gone -- hopefully reunited with its mom, Wendi said.
At the beginning of a cell phone video, Luke shows an air vent directly above the toilet. Wendi said they have recently heard hissing and scratching coming from an air duct or crawl space, so..."I'm thinking it fell through an air vent or something," she said.
