Reward offered for sex offender who escaped Houston facility

AUSTIN – A Houston man has been added to the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender list and a $3,000 cash reward is now offered for information leading to his capture, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

John Michael Enard, 58, removed his ankle monitor early Saturday morning and fled from a Houston halfway house.

He is considered a sexually violent predator and should be considered dangerous. All tips can be offered anonymously. Enard’s criminal history includes multiple sexual assaults. He has family in Houston and Lafayette, La.

There are four different ways to provide anonymous tips:

- Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477)

- Text the letters DPS—followed by your tip—to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone

- Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture

- Submit a Facebook tip at http://www.facebook.com/texas10mostwanted by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link (under the “About” section).
