SAN ANTONIO -- A YouTube video of a 16-month-old toddler swimming across a pool has sparked an internet controversy.
Adam Christensen uploaded the video of his daughter Elizabeth swimming on her own, without the aid of a flotation device. The video shows the child jump into the pool and swim face down -- rolling onto her back when she needs air to breathe.
Christensen said his daughter was trained to swim by a professional instructor. Baby Christensen swims up to three times a day and even knows how to dive under water.
Despite the controversy, Christensen said safety is his first priority.
