Dunkin' Donuts in expansion mode

Flextronics, a supplier of cameras and battery chargers for Apple, has a big presence in Austin. They are now looking to car makers in China, Japan and Korea to boost growth in its automotive business. The company makes lighting and entertainment systems for automakers is increasing its focus on Asian car makers after revenue declined for five straight quarters.

Speaking of Apple, all eyes will be on the company Tuesday as it reports its latest earnings after the close of trading. Apple stock is down 25 percent so far this year, and their profit last quarter is expected to fall for the first time in a decade because of slower growth in iPhone sales.

The solar industry saw its employment rise 13 percent last year compared with the previous year, making it one of the fastest growth rates for any industry. Texas ranks number eight in the country when it comes to solar jobs, according to the Solar Foundation. There are 278 solar companies with 3,200 jobs in Texas.

Dunkin' Donuts is in expansion mode. Expect to see more locations popping up around Texas and at airports. In fact Dunkin' opened two new restaurants and a Baskin Robbins location at the newly renovated Dallas Love Field airport. Another location is planned this year for Houston's George Bush airport.
