More South Austin neighborhoods eligible for Google Fiber

Google said the residents and businesses that can begin signing up Tuesday "will complete Google Fiber's initial signup efforts for Austin neighborhoods south of the Colorado River."

AUSTIN – As Google continues the expansion of its Fiber network throughout the City of Austin, more residents and businesses will be able to sign up for the service beginning Tuesday (Sept. 19).

Those living along Brodie Lane, Manchaca Road and Interstate 35 south of Slaughter Lane will be able to sign up for the internet and TV service. “This area will complete Google Fiber’s initial signup efforts for Austin neighborhoods south of the Colorado River,” the internet giant said.

Residents who sign up before Oct. 31 will have priority for Fiber installation, and signups are still open to residents and businesses in Fiber’s current service areas.
