The missing 10-year-old Austin girl and her siblings have been found safe in Florida and her mother is now in custody, police said Thursday afternoon.

Austin Independent School District police previously said Angelia Jordan was last seen around 3:05 p.m. Nov. 14 at Oak Hill Elementary School, and that they believed her mother and another juvenile took her.

Police said Thursday that the siblings and the mother have been located in Pensacola, Florida:

According to an affidavit, Angelia was in the custody of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and had been removed from her biological parents.

According to the affidavit for the mother, identified as Sarah Marcella Jordan, the school staff were previously aware that the mother and father might attempt to take the victim. A teacher and assistant principal told police that the juvenile approached Angelia at school and said, "ok, ok we've got to go." School staff tried to block her path and told her that she couldn't leave. School staff then told police that Angelia's mother approached, physically took her and said to staff, "go ahead and stop me."

School staff then said they "began to 'run like hell,'" according to the affidavit.

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Aleshia Jordan, 13, had been missing since Nov. 14. Marcella Jordan, 16, had been missing since Nov. 3, according to the site.

Now, Jordan is in jail in Pensacola as police work to bring her back to Texas. Police said the father was not with them when they were caught in Florida.

Tuesday night, Department of Public Safety officials said an Amber Alert was not issued because the child was not believed to be abducted by a stranger and to their knowledge it is not currently a statewide investigation but a local one.
