This is a great treat from Thuy at My Paper Pinwheel and it's perfect for back to school! I always try to create a fun treat to set out for the kids to have on their first day and we always make a few extra for our new teachers too!

Supplies:

Any type of red candy (I chose to use red sixlets I purchased at Party City)

Small clear bags (available at Hobby Lobby)

Small Lollipop sticks (available at Hobby Lobby)

Any type of green felt or paper will work too (available at Hobby Lobby)

Mini cupcake liners (available at Hobby Lobby)

A brown marker or paint

Directions:

First cut your small clear bag in half then, fill your mini cupcake liner with red candy and place in your bag. After that, I took one of my lollipop sticks and colored half of it brown with a marker. If you wanted to paint it, that will work too but I opted for the faster way!

While you are waiting a few minutes for your marker or paint to dry, take your felt (or paper) and cut out a leaf shape. Then, place the  lollipop in the center of the mini cupcake liner and twist the clear bag around the stick. I used clear tape to hold it together. Take another piece of tape and attach it to the back side of the leaf and voila, your Candy Apple Treat is done!

Happy First Day of school Treats!
