Are you wanting to build a stockpile but just aren't sure where to start? Building a stockpile is very simple and you can build it a little at a time every single week. First, start with $10. Go through your grocery list and remove $10 worth of items that you don't really need like pop, chips, etc. THEN, take that $10 and put it towards sale items (and items with a coupon) that you can get on the cheap.
For example, I picked up 5 jars of pasta sauce and 5 packages of pasta for only $10 after sales and coupons (actually, you can find it cheaper than that most times). Normally though, that would have cost $25. So, I used my $10 and purchased $25 worth of food.
Think about that. I would have bought $10 in junk food that would have disappeared in less than a week but instead I 'invested' that money in actual meals that will feed my family and increase my stockpile.
The benefits to a good stockpile are endless. One of my favorite things is being able to take a break from grocery shopping some weeks just by eating from the stockpile. Talk about a money saver! After you get the hang of it, you can continue to do this each week until you have built up your stockpile and then, remember, to plan your menu around sales, coupons and your stockpile to save your family the most money!
