We ALL love clearance deals, don't we? The trick is not only to find the clearance items but to make those items even better with other savings methods such as coupons. This is one of the reasons why carrying a coupon binder can really help you find the best deals. If you do find a clearance item, combining that with a coupon could get you a cheap or free deal!
Most of us know how to spot clearance by simply shopping the perimeter of the store (Target is a great example of this). Keeping your eyes peeled at all times is key. Typically speaking, here is the markdown schedule for Target stores:
MONDAY- Kids clothes, electronics
TUESDAY- Women's clothes, domestics
WEDNESDAY- Men's clothes, toys, health and beauty
THURSDAY- Lingerie, shoes, housewares, sporting goods
FRIDAY- Cosmetics, hardware, auto, jewelry
Of course, that can change at any time but for the most part, you'll find the best clearance deals for specified items on the days listed above. Also remember, clearance items start at 15% but work their way up as the weeks go on. You could land a deal as much as 90% off of course, if you wait on clearance, you risk the stock running out as well. It's all a game really, but at the end of the day, shopping clearance with coupons is the way to go.
Always check the perimeter of the store and always, bring your coupons. Here's to GREAT deals!
