WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas -- Officials cut the ribbon Wednesday morning on the new Wilco Recycling Center in Taylor.
The grand opening ceremony started around 11 a.m. The $6 million plant will hire 26 full-time employees. It is capable of recycling 6,000 tons of trash per month.
Curbside single stream recyclables will be processed from the cities of Round Rock, Cedar Park and Municipal Utility Districts in Williamson County. It will also take commercial single stream recyclables processed from apartment communities and companies throughout Austin, Travis County and Williamson County.
