The City of Austin handed out awards on Earth Day for businesses and other groups that are working to protect the environment.
There was one individual among them, too.
Richard Craig helped lead the cleanup of Pease Park after a 2009 storm left damage behind.
He's the head of the group Trees for Pease, which is bringing the city's oldest park back to its former glory.
"The tree canopy was in decline -- it just needed some help. It needed some funds poured back into it; it needed some trees planted and some TLC," said Craig.
That's exactly what Craig did.
His group has planted more than 300 trees in the park so far and raised $100,000.
