AUSTIN - It's official; Christmas season has officially kicked off in Austin with the annual lighting of the Zilker Park Holiday Tree.
Hundreds of people looked on as the 155-foot tall tree illuminated the park with its dozens of streamers and thousands of multicolored light bulbs.
KVUE's Quita Culpepper helped get people in the holiday spirit at the event as the acting emcee, introducing local choirs, bands and Mayor Steve Adler.
The tree will remain on display from Nov. 27 through Dec. 31 (6 p.m - midnight).
