BURNET COUNTY, Texas -- On Wednesday Feb.8, members of the Burnet County Sheriff's Office Special Operations Unit were alerted to a suspicious bag with containers of chemicals inside it left on the side of a rural road.
Investigators believe the bag was used as a portable methamphetamine lab.
According to the Burnet County Sheriff's Office, several similar bags have been found on the roadside.
The sheriff's office is urging citizens to use caution of you find a suspicious bag or backpack on the roadside because portable meth labs contain volatile and corrosive materials that can cause bodily harm.
If you find a suspicious bag or backpack or any other package that you suspect contains chemicals, contact your area law enforcement agency or the Burnet County Special Operations Unit at 830-693-6166.
