A 20 year old woman and her 22 year old boyfriend were found shot to death Friday night in their Cedar Park apartment. Police say the shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. at the Arboleda Apartments on Discovery Boulevard.
They found the bodies of Amanda Simmons and Christopher Bowling—both were shot to death. Simmon's father called police because he was concerned about his daughter.
Darcy Volden lives in the apartment complex and says the shooting hits too close to home.
“It does shake you up,” she said. “You don't expect something like that happen here. It did shake up my son, he was frightened and didn't want to sleep by himself last night."
Police are still investigating the incident.
