AUSTIN -- The name of the motorcyclist killed in a Northwest Austin accident Saturday evening has been identified.
Police say the accident happened just before 5 p.m. Saturday. Stephen West Rose, 53, was riding his motorcycle westbound on North State Highway 45 near US 183 when he hit a Jeep Wrangler from behind.
Police say Rose was wearing a helmet. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Jeep Wrangler stayed at the scene. Police say no charges will be filed.
