Crews were called to the scene of a hazmat investigation around 11:00 p.m. Thursday night.
Authorities are investigating reports of a suspicious smell of of U.S. 290 near Old U.S. 20 between Elgin and Manor.
A Travis County Sheriff's deputy told KVUE News there is not a health risk from the smell and investigators still are not sure where the smell is coming from.
So far, no mandatory evacuations have been issued.
